More S. Korean Youth Jobless

The unemployment rate for people aged 15-29 stands at 9.2% in South Korea, a 0.2% increase since last year, according to the OECD on Monday, Yonhap reported. South Korea is among five OECD countries where youth unemployment has increased over the year. The others are Finland with a 1.8% increase, Norway 1.5%, Turkey 0.5% and Netherlands 0.3%.  The remaining 29 members either maintained the rate or recorded a fall. Countries with the greatest fall included Ireland with 3.9%, Slovakia 3.7%, Greece 3.7% and Spain 3%. The average rate across OECD members was a 1% fall.
