Spain CPI Falls

 Spain’s consumer prices fell by 0.8% in June when compared with the same month of a year earlier, according to data of the Consumer Price Index confirmed on Wednesday by Spain’s Statistical Office, Xinhua reported. The figure was 0.2% higher than that of May, when consumer prices had fallen by 1%. Spain’s inflation rate has been rising for two consecutive months on a year-on-year basis. Prices of transport fell by 4% with prices of fuel and lubricants falling less than in June 2015. Prices of items related to housing fell by 5.5% due to increased prices of electricity and prices of items related to leisure and culture fell by 1.6%.
