There are no plans at present for further economic sanctions on Russia over Ukraine, Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel said. However, she was unhappy that “large parts of the Minsk agreement are not being implemented,” Reuters quoted her as saying. The chancellor reiterated her intention to have EU travel bans extended to newly-elected officials in self-proclaimed republics in eastern Ukraine.
