Malaysia’s former international trade and industry minister, Rafidah Aziz, has called on the people to unite and work together towards ensuring that the country casts a bright light on the global economic radar screen, Bernama reported. She said the country has come thus far upon its journey as a developing nation, hence maintaining great credibility and integrity was crucial going forward. “We’d planned to become a developed nation by 2020, (but) we have issues that (still) have to be resolved. We came from a state of very low development. We’ve advanced so far. Let’s not spoil this by having extraneous matters creep in,” she said.
