Samsung Wins Turkey Deal

Samsung C&T Corp has won a 630 billion won ($597m) order to build a power plant in Turkey from Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power International. The South Korean builder said in a statement the construction of the gas combined cycle power plant in the Kirikkale region in Turkey is expected to be completed by May 2017. Shares of Samsung C&T traded up one per cent as of 0008 GMT, beating a 0.3 percent gain in the wider market.
