In a landmark and rarely issued fact-sheet, the White House has proclaimed comprehensive US-Pakistan augmented Joint Action Plan for trade and investment. The JAP was issued soon after Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif held an extensive meeting with US President Barack Obama, AAP reported. While referring to World Trade Organization, trade facilitation agreement, the fact sheet has assured that the United States will support Pakistan’s efforts to ratify and implement the WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement and to provide technical assistance to Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue and other governmental and industry representatives of the National Trade and Transport Facilitation Committee.
