Young people are “the losers” in the economic recovery, the UK government’s social mobility adviser has claimed. Alan Milburn, a former Labor MP, said it was “depressing” young people were losing out on jobs, earnings and housing. Milburn said “urgent action” was needed to prevent this generation being worse off than the previous one. “But young people are losing out on jobs, earnings and housing.”
