Industrial production in the Netherlands fell 0.6% in August compared with the year earlier period, central statistics agency CBS said on Friday, Dutch News reported. The fall is mainly due to a decrease of 9% in the machine industry sector. Production of chemical and pharmaceutical products was also down. However, the production of transport vehicles grew 8% and the rubber and synthetics sectors saw production rise 6%, the CBS said.
