Euro Falls

The euro tumbled against the dollar and the yen as the prospect of a resolution to the Greek debt crisis caused investors to shift attention to the relative weakness of the eurozone economy, Nasdaq reported. The euro lost 1.4% against the dollar to $1.10, its lowest late-afternoon New York level in six weeks. It fell 0.9% versus the yen to ¥135.80. Bearish euro investors sold the common currency after Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and international creditors on Monday reached an agreement in principle on a new bailout for the country.
