A poll has found almost half of the people of Thailand felt the economy was getting worse while 38% believed it was as bad as it always was. Only 19.5% felt the economy is getting better. Some 63% of the 1,143 respondents nationwide found goods prices were affecting their daily life, according to a Bangkok University poll on household economy. Asked whether their incomes were enough to cover expenses, 42.8% said their earnings could cover the expenses but were not enough for savings while some 37.5% said they did not earn enough and had to borrow. Only 19.7% said their incomes were enough to cover all expenses plus savings.
