French Output Rebounds

French industrial production rebounded in May after a sharp drop in April and zero growth in March, data showed Friday, Dow Jones reported. Industrial production in the eurozone’s second largest economy rose 0.4% in May from April, when it fell 0.8%, French statistics agency Insee said. The May figure is in line with the average forecast of economists polled by the Wall Street Journal. The rise in industrial output was supported by a 2.3% jump in output in the transport and automobile sector. Output for the entire manufacturing sector rose 0.6%, Insee said.
