Switzerland’s manufacturing output rose in June, suggesting companies remain resilient despite the stronger franc and economic uncertainty in Europe, Dow Jones reported. The Swiss Purchasing Managers’ Index rose 0.6 points to a seasonally-adjusted 50 points, from 49.4 points in May, data released Wednesday showed. The June reading was above an economists’ average forecast of 49.7. The figures for June show that the previous decline in Swiss “industrial momentum was thus halted,” said analysts at Credit Suisse, which co-compiled the index.
