Vietnam’s gross domestic product grew 6.28% over the first six months, the highest rate since 2010, Thanh Nien News website quoted the General Statistics Office of Vietnam as saying. The sector of manufacturing made the largest contribution at 1%, followed by sales, retailing, automotive repairing and mining, Ha Quang Tuyen, a senior official with the office, said. In a survey done by the office, nearly 50% of 3,389 interviewed manufacturing businesses believed their sector’s situation will become better in Q3. Vietnam aims to achieve GDP growth rate of 6.2% this year.
