Finland’s jobless rate held steady in April, after rising in the previous two months, figures from Statistics Finland showed Wednesday, RTT News reported. The unemployment rate came in at 10.3% in April, the same rate as in the preceding month. A year earlier, the rate was 9.0%. The latest rate of unemployment was the highest since May 2014, when it marked 10.7%. On a seasonally adjusted basis, the jobless rate rose slightly to 9.6% in April from 9.5% in March. In the corresponding month last year, the rate was 8.6%. Meanwhile, employment rate climbed to 59.2% in April from 58.1% in the previous month. The number of unemployed people increased to 280,000 in April from 272,000 in March.
