Bulgaria Exports to EU Up

In the period of January-February 2015 Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 12.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2014 and amounted to BGN 4.5b ($2.56b), Focus reported. Main trade partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, Belgium and France which accounted for 69.5% of the exports to the EU member states, Bulgaria’s National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a press release. In February 2015 the exports to the EU increased by 7.7% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to BGN 2.2b. Bulgarian imports from the EU in the period of January-February 2015 increased by 3.3% compared to the same period of 2014 and added up to BGN 5.0b BGN at CIF prices. The largest amounts were reported for the goods imported from Germany, Romania, Italy, Spain and Greece. In February 2015 the Bulgarian imports from the EU member states increased by 6.5% compared to the corresponding month of the previous year and amounted to BGN 2.6b at CIF prices.
