A survey of more than 10,000 workers found that one in four blamed poor leadership for decisions to switch jobs, NewsNow said. Recruitment firm Randstad said a fifth of workers were changing employers every year. Chief executive Mark Bull said: “There is a fundamental problem with leadership in the UK – and it’s costing the country a huge amount of money. Bosses just aren’t delivering. “Management culture needs to be in line with employee culture, and at the moment employees don’t see that and this can trigger departures. Too often company values aren’t clear, demonstrated or promoted by management – and that’s pushing a huge number of employees to switch jobs.”
