French industrial production continued to rise in January, thwarting expectations of a decline after the surge at the end of 2014, statistics showed Tuesday, Nasdaq reported. French industrial production rose 0.4% on the month in January after a 1.4% gain in December, national statistics agency Insee said. Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected a 0.4% decline.
