Demanding Higher Wages

With data showing that South Korea may be slipping toward deflation, Finance Minister Choi Kyung-hwan has called for higher wages to boost the depressed economy, NEWSIS reported. “Without a pay raise at a sufficient level, the domestic market can’t rebound,” Choi said Wednesday at a forum in Seoul.
