Vietnam has attracted around $1.2b in foreign direct investment so far this year, down 22.5% compared to the same period last year, Thanh Nien News reported. 148 new projects were licensed to foreign investors with a combined capital of $712m, a drop of 4.3%. It also allowed 58 existing projects to boost registered funding by a total $480.5m, down 32.2%.
