The first phase of a new eco-campsite in Kareyak Village, Kohgiluyeh-Boyerahmad Province, was officially inaugurated on Friday, as part of efforts to boost ecotourism in the less touted region. The site includes lodging facilities, space lighting, bathroom services and camping spaces, CHTN quoted Mahmoud Baqeri, director of provincial office of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, as saying. "The project has so far progressed by up to 65% with a budget of 4.2 billion rials [$97,000]; and another 5 billion rials [$0.1 million] is needed for its completion," Baqeri said, adding that the whole area of the campsite will come into operation before the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2019) if no fund shortage shows up.
