The Ninth Pars International Tourism Exhibition will be held in Shiraz, Fars Province, in December after a five-year gap.
According to Alireza Dezhbod, executive secretary of the event, the participation of representatives from six foreign countries, including private entities and state-run delegations involved in tourism and handicrafts, has so far been confirmed and others are also expected to join.
Iranian and foreign participants will present their services in the fields of airline facilities, hotel management, online booking, free trade zones, ecolodges, air and sea sport clubs, diving schools, recreational centers and handicraft products, IRNA reported.
Dezhbod said tourism officials from three key travel destinations, namely Fars, Isfahan and Yazd, are also invited.
Simultaneously, festivals of Iranian tribes and balloons, conferences on tourism investment and branding, health tourism and architectural tourism are among side events planned for the exhibition.
"Additionally, a hall has been allocated to host discussions and talks between Iranian and foreign guests," he added.
The exhibition is co-organized by Cooperatives Organization of Fars Municipalities, the provincial office of Iran's Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Shiraz City Council and guild and industrial teams.
The exhibition will start on Dec. 10 and run for three days.
