The Kashan Toy and Puppet Museum in Kashan, Isfahan Province, which was closed for about a year for renovation, will be reopened within a month. According to Amir Sohrabi, director of the museum, apart from changes in the museum’s structure, a lodging space and an amphitheater for traditional plays have been added to the complex. “The lodging facility inside the museum will provide a source of revenue for the museum and give visitors an opportunity to engage in more activities,” he was quoted as saying by Mizan News. Sohrabi noted that the earnings can be used for the maintenance of the museum as well as restoration and research projects. Visitors will also be able to stay longer and attend other events such as workshops and performances. Kashan Toy and Puppet Museum was the first of its kind launched in 2014 in Allameh Feyzi House in Kashan’s historical texture. Hundreds of toys and puppets from different provinces are displayed in the museum.
