Mashhad, Khorasan Razavi Province, will host the 8th Tour Leaders Festival, Cultural Heritage News Agency (CHN) reported. February 21 is the ‘day of tour leaders’ in the international calendar. The festival is estimated to host 1,000 guests. There were 2 other candidates for the venue of the event: Qeshm Island and Kermanshah. The festival will be held for 4 days and 3 nights. According to Head of Tour Leaders National Center Arash Nur-Aqaee, the event will be conducted by the tour leaders, while Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO) has no active role. Previous Tour Leaders Festivals were held in Tehran, Yazd, Tabriz, Ramsar, Khuzestan, Western Azerbaijan, and Kerman. According to head of the board of directors of Khorasan Razavi’s Tour Leaders Association Seyed Ali Nabavi, the preparations for the festival have started since October 20. Some 15 committees are making various programs. The festival will be open on February 17, receiving 700 tour leaders and 300 other guests.
