The 1st convention on tourism investment opportunities in Isfahan will be held on November 26 presenting some 50 projects, Donyay-e Eqtesad news paper reported.
“More than 300 provincial, national, and international investors are invited to the event,” said Ali Karbasizadeh, Isfahan’s deputy head of Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA). He said the projects presented are selected were out of the 1300 number presented. “Isfahan Province benefits from a comparative advantage in tourism. This convention puts forward an important opportunity for investors to be introduced to provincial tourism potentials,” he said. Bringing tourists to the country means “we save scarce oil resources and export instead our arts, civilization, history, and culture,” the official stated. The convention is the fruit of a collaboration between Isfahan’s chamber of commerce, ministry of economic affairs and finance, Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), office of the deputy governor general for development affairs, and Isfahan municipality. The convention will be held at the ECCIMA premises.
