In keeping with the country’s plans to develop its air links and improve air services, Caspian Airlines launched Tehran-Gorgan flights, on November 17. The carrier has scheduled two flights per week on this route, operating Mondays and Fridays. Gorgan airport already provides 54 flights each week to Tehran, Zahedan, and Mashhad, with the majority flying to Tehran. Caspian Airlines has joined Aseman Airlines and Iran Air, who are already flying on these routes. Caspian Airlines was established in 1993, and operates services between Tehran and other major cities in Iran, with international flights to Armenia, Syria, Turkey, UAE and Ukraine. It is headquartered in Tehran.
