For the second time since the start of Milan Expo in May, administrators of Iran’s pavilion in the expo have asked for more handicrafts to be sent. This is an indication of the international popularity of Iranian arts and crafts, said director general of handicraft export development at Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization, Pouya Mahmoudian, Persian travel website Donyay-e Safar reported. Expo Milano 2015 began on May 1 and will close on October 31. The exhibition focuses on vegetation, food and wellness. The global event is expected to draw more than 20 million visitors, with the theme: Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life.
