Virtual Civilization Museum

A virtual museum of Iranian civilization has been launched by the Persian Gulf Studies Center. The online museum can be accessed at: www.persiangulfstudies.com. The museum is sectioned into five chronological categories: Pre-Achaemenid, Achaemenid, Parthian, Sassanid and Post-Islam. Visitors will be able to see Iranian artifacts located in domestic and foreign museums. The images are captioned in English. Through this project, the center aims to dispel anti-Iranian sentiments—or Iranophobia—and familiarize worldwide audience with the history and civilization of Iran. It took archeologists and geopolitical experts several months to set up the virtual museum, managing director of the center, Rouzbeh Parsapour, told IRNA.
