A project to construct a 3-kilometer gondola lift in Langrud, Gilan Province will star in the near future, according to the head of the provincial office of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), Reza Alizadeh, CHTN reported. He added that due to the multipurpose nature of the project, its urban and environmental impact must be considered. Speaking on the sidelines of Orange Blossoms Festival in Langrud, he noted the festival has been warmly welcomed and that it provides a great opportunity to attract domestic and foreign tourists. “Today, festivals are considered tourist attractions throughout the world”, the official was quoted as saying. An intangible heritage, the festival – dubbed ‘a spiritual heritage’ by Alizadeh – is held annually in Langarud.
