Over 1.6 million Iranians have visited Turkey since the beginning of the new Iranian year (started March 21), ISNA quoted Turkey’s ambassador to Tehran Reza Hakan Tekin as saying. In a meeting between head of Iran’s Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines (ICCIM) office in Isfahan Province Seyed Abdolvahab Sahlabadi and Hakan Tekin, aimed at finding ways to encourage Turkish travelers to visit the historic city of Isfahan, the diplomat stressed his country’s readiness to share experience in the tourism sector to help develop the industry in Iran. Last year, 400,000 Turkish tourists visited Iran, Hakan Tekin said. The figure can and will multiply once Iran’s tourism infrastructure is up to par, he added.
