The latest tourist maps of Alborz Province will also be published in English for international tourists.
To provide foreign tourists with more comprehensive introduction of tourist attractions and destinations of the province, including information on cultural, historical, and natural heritage along with other useful information, the new maps in English will be printed and distributed in the near future, said the director general of Alborz Provincial office of Iran’s Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism Organization (ICHHTO), Abolfazl Abidi.
Visitors from different countries travel to Iran and visit Alborz Province annually. Thus, there was a need for suitable material as Alborz is home to a very diverse climate and cultural and historical sites, CHTN quoted the official as saying.
According to plans, 70,000 maps will be printed in the first phase. Another 30,000 will be added based on the feedback and further need of the tourists.
Ancient sites, castles and museums, historical monuments, recreational and sport facilities, renowned mountains and peaks, waterfalls and natural sites, plus paths and roads are indicated on the maps.
