A miniature model of Iran’s tourist attractions will be portrayed in a multi-hectare land in Javadabad, Varamin County, Tehran Province. The national recreation and tourism project of Javadabad will be commenced after the Nowruz holidays (starting March 21), and will be carried out in different phases due to the large scale of the plan, said mayor of Javadabad, Mehdi Kachouee. Miniature Iran is only one part of a multifacet project which also includes camel-ride tours, star observation, guest accommodation, safari, and desert-trekking, Mehr News agency reported. Kachouee outlined the miniature plan, stating that an area of about 5 hectares will be allocated to each of the country’s provinces in which the major historical monuments and attractions of that province are to be built. The private sector has mainly invested in the project. The project’s executive plan on constructing a life-size replica of the Persepolis, shows visitors what it may have looked like before being destroyed through the course of history.
