Direct flights between the southern Iranian city of Shiraz and the Emirati city of Sharjah have resumed after a four-month gap due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The route officially reopened on July 3, with an Airbus 330, belonging to the UAE’s Air Arabia, taking off from Sharjah to Shiraz, according to the news portal of Iran’s Ministry of Roads and Urban Development
The Emirati airline is scheduled to operate two flights per week (Sundays and Fridays) between the two cities.
Prior to the outbreak of the pandemic and the halt of flights in early March, five flights were operated on Sharjah-Shiraz route every week.
