Mehrabad Int’l Airport Reopens Terminal 1

Tehran’s Mehrabad International Airport has reopened its Terminal 1 that had been closed since March 18 due to a decline in the number of flights caused by the outbreak of the new coronavirus.
Accordingly, the airlines of Kish Air, Zagros and Varesh resume operating flights at Terminal 1 of the international airport.
Mehrabad has four terminals.
Until 2007 and before the construction of Tehran’s larger new airport, Imam Khomeini International Airport, Mehrabad was Tehran's prime airport for handling both international and domestic flights, but after 2007, international flights were transferred to IKIA.
All international flights in Tehran are currently served by Imam Khomeini International Airport and all domestic flights are conducted at Mehrabad.
