Iran has extended visa waivers for residents of the Iraqi Kurdistan Region.
Darsim Tahseen, the head of Public Relations Department at Haji Omaran International Gate Complex, confirmed to Kurdish media outlets that Iranian authorities have extended visa waiver until April 27 this year.
Previously, people from Kurdistan Region were required to obtain a sticker visa before entering Iran. It was later substituted with an electronic visa after an agreement between Tehran and Baghdad.
The waiver allows people to visit Iran without a visa and any fees for staying in the country for up to 30 days.
