The Urmia-Mashhad passenger train route has been launched.
According to Mohammad Rajabi, the head of Raja Rail Transportation Company, the route’s train has four- and six-bed wagons, IRNA reported.
The train, which has a capacity of 420 passengers per trip, operates once every six days.
Per passenger rate for four-bed wagons is 1.31 million rials ($10.12) and for six-bed wagons, it is 1.11 million rials ($8.53).
The train will take 25 hours to arrive in Mashhad from Urmia and stop at Mahabad, Maragheh, Mianeh, Zanjan, Qazvin, Tehran, Semnan, Damghan, Shahroud, Neqab and Neyshabour en route.
