Cristiano Ronaldo is clearly desperate to get off the mark for Juventus although it has not quite happened for him in Turin so far.

According to Goal.com, the former Real Madrid star stunned the football world over the summer as he made a stunning €100 million ($116m) switch to the Serie A champion.

It did not take long for Ronaldo to settle into his new surroundings, scoring on his first non-competitive appearance for the club in a friendly against their Under-23 side.

It has not quite come off for him in the league, however, with Ronaldo having now failed to score in his opening three Serie A matches.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, who lost out to Luka Modric for the UEFA Player of the Year award during the week, drew another blank for a third straight Serie A game on Saturday as he chases his first goal for his new club, AFP reported.

Liberated by his departure his former Real Madrid teammates have gone on a goal spree and now he has even been outshone by his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, who scored four goals in his debut for Juventus’s Under-9 team.

Wearing the number 7 of his famous dad, eight-year-old Ronaldo Jr scored a brace in either half in a 5-1 win against Lucento on Sunday.

Ronaldo has failed to score in his first three competitive games for Juventus, including Saturday’s 2-1 win at Parma.

That has not stopped Juve winning, though, with Massimiliano Allegri’s men having made a perfect start to the 2018-19 campaign with victories over Chievo, Lazio and Parma.

Unfortunately for the Portugal captain, his 23 attempts at goal without scoring is the worst tally in Europe’s big-five leagues, with Nantes midfielder Valentin Rongier behind him in second with 15 shots.
