Eden Hazard May Move to Real Madrid

Eden Hazard has emerged as the front-runner to replace Cristiano Ronaldo in the Spanish capital after the European champions sanctioned the star’s $115.5 million move to Juventus.
That leaves Madrid, which was already linked with a shake-up of their front-line, looking for someone to help fill the void, Express reported.
And Chelsea ace Hazard is reportedly seen as that man having starred at the World Cup for Belgium where he was voted the tournament’s second best player in Russia, behind Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric with Croatia.
It has been said that Hazard is Madrid’s most likely addition despite links with Paris Saint-Germain pair Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
And according to Bleacher Report, Hazard is keen on a move to the Bernabeu because he thinks it might be his only ever chance to represent the La Liga giants.
Hazard turns 28 in January and will be without Champions League football this term at Stamford Bridge which could be a factor in his desire to move, despite the lure of playing under new boss Maurizio Sarri.
Bleacher Report claims that Hazard’s representatives have made it known to Madrid officials that the Belgian attacker would be keen on a transfer.
But the report adds that Chelsea will not let its talisman go easily, having reportedly quoted Los Blancos a world-record $263 million fee.
Chelsea want to hand Hazard a $400,000-a-week contract to stay and hope that his personality means he will not look to force an exit despite wanting to join Madrid.
But Bleacher Report suggests that if an official approach is made then Hazard will make it clear to the London club that he wants the move.
Chelsea has just three weeks until the transfer window shuts for English clubs on August 9.
But Sarri has recently indicated a willingness to discuss Hazard’s future in person with the player, who is currently on holiday having helped Belgium to finish third in the World Cup.
