Iranian snooker players took their first strong step on the beginning day of the 34th Asian Snooker Championships in Tabriz, East Azarbaijan Province.
A total of 11 games were played by Iranians on Sunday when they won seven but lost the rest, according to the results on the Esnooker.pl. 
Siavash Mozayani beat Aekravee Angkam from Thailand 4-0. Mozayani also won his second match on the first day by defeating Iraqi rival Muneeb Al-Juboori 4-2.
Amir Sarkhosh was also a total victor on the opening day. He first defeated Ka Lam Lou from Hong Kong and then Ali Hussein of Iraq.
Although Hamed Zaredoost won his first clash against Bashar Abdulmajeed of Qatar, he lost 4-3 to Muhammad Majid Ali from Pakistan in his second game.
