Iran’s karate delegation left for Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on Tuesday to participate in the World Karate 1 Premier League.
A team of 25 men and women will take part in the event slated for March 16-18, Mehr News Agency reported.
In men’s individual kumite, Amir Reza Mirzaei, Bahman Asgari, Ali Asghar Asiabari, Ebrahim Hassan-Beigi, Zabihollah Poursheib, Mehdi Khodabakhshi, Mehdi Ghararizadeh, Ali Fadakar, Keyvan Baban, Sajjad Ganjzadeh, Salleh Abazari, Saman Heidari and Abolfazl Shahrjerdi form the Iran team.
Amir Bahodor Tadayon will be the only karateka for Iran’s male kata at the event.
Nasrin Dousti, Sara Bahmanyar, Avishan Baqeri, Taravat Khaksar, Fatemeh Chalaki, Rozita Alipour, Mobina Kaviani, Mahtab Esmaeili, Hamideh Abbasali, Mohaddeseh Aqaei and Negin Baqeri constitute Iran’s women kumite team. They will also participate in individual female kata division.
