Qeshm Island Hosts First Air Games

Naaz Islands in the Persian Gulf near Qeshm, is hosting the first edition of air games in Iran, February 26-March 1.

According to the Instagram account of the event, internationally acclaimed air games professionals including Spanish aerobatic paragliding pilots, Raul Rodriguez, Horacio Llorens and Felix Rodriguez; Veselin Ovcharov of Bulgaria, Simon Winkler from Germany and Austrian Sebastian Kahn are among the known names at the games.

Aerial Sport Association and Qeshm Free Area Organization along with Acronaline, organizer of flight training courses, are in charge of organizing the event.

Naaz islands are two tidal islands in the Persian Gulf. The intertidal zone of Qeshm is a part of coastal landmark and during high tide the littoral zone submerges and two hills emerge.

Naaz islands are one of the well-known tourist attractions of Qeshm Island and south of Iran. Qeshm, is an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, separated from the mainland by the Clarence Strait/ Khuran in the Persian Gulf. It is the largest island in Iran.
