Iranian boxers ended the 69th International Boxing Tournament ‘Strandja’ in Sofia, Bulgaria, with three medals.

On the last day of the games, Monday, two Iranians entered the ring to battle their rivals in two different weight categories, Varzesh3 reported.

In the 69kg class, Sajjad Kazemzadeh fought with a Russian boxer in the final match but was defeated and took solace in a silver medal.

Iran’s second finalist Salar Gholamipour faced a boxer from the host country in the finals of the 91kg category. He too did not succeed and took silver.

On Saturday, Seyyed Shahin Mousavi won the first medal in the 75kg class for Iran’s seven-man team.

The games were open to men and women from 19 to 40 years old.

Bulgaria’sBoxing Federation was the organizer of the February 18-26 event.
