Iran taekwondo team was crowned at the Chinese grand slam in Wuxi city, part of the Wuxi World Taekwondo World Cup, in team championships section on Saturday.
In the four-nation cup the taekwondokas faced Russia, second winner at the Abidjan Grand Prix, in the first combat and finished 39-20 to qualify for the next level to meet China that had passed South Korea 76-63.
According to the website of the games Worldtaekwondo.org, Iranian practitioners beat their Chinese rivals 76-56 to win the grand slam.
Armin Hadipour, Mirhashem Hosseini, Erfan Nazemi, Mehdi Khodabakhshi, Saeid Rajabi and Seyyed Hossein Ehsani-Petroudi were members of the Iran squad. Iran attended the games only with the men’s team.
