Turkish Coach Denizli Linked to Future of Tractor Sazi

Former Turkish Persepolis head coach Mustafa Denizli is close to signing a contract with the Persian Gulf Pro League team Tractor Sazi.

Following poor results of the team under the management of Yahya Gol-Mohammadi, the club has decided to hire a new manager. There is no official report yet about the Turkish manager joining the club. However he has admitted that the club has started negotiations with him, Varzesh3 reported.

In an interview with TRT, Turkish TV network, Denizli confirmed the negotiations. “Representatives of Tractor Sazi came to Turkey and we held talks”, the Turkish manager said. “Negotiations went well but nothing has been finalized.”

Denizli, 68, managed Persepolis for a year, 2006-2007. Before Persepolis the Turk managed Pas Tehran for two years.

He is a former football player and current the manager of the Turkish football club Eskişehirspor. He has managed many notable Turkish clubs, including Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş and has won the Süper Lig title three times. He is the only manager in history to win the Süper Lig with three different clubs.
