Barcelona has reportedly decided to sell five players in order to fund the double-signing of Philippe Coutinho and Antoine Griezmann.
According to Sportsmole website, despite remaining unbeaten through the first half of the season, the Catalan giants remain in the hunt for new signings with money available after the summer sale of Neymar.
However, the club is prepared to allow five players to leave Camp Nou in order to bring in both Liverpool playmaker Coutinho and Atletico Madrid forward Griezmann.
Coutinho remains a long-term target of Barca - despite Liverpool’s insistence that the Brazilian international is not for sale - while Griezmann is expected to leave Atletico at some stage in order to join one of European football’s biggest clubs.
The report suggests that Javier Mascherano, Arda Turan, Gerard Deulofeu, Aleix Vidal and Rafinha have all been given permission to find new clubs.
Mascherano has been linked with a move to the Chinese Super League, Turan could sign for Besiktas and Inter Milan is allegedly negotiating a loan deal for Deulofeu
Ozil’s Conditions
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has reportedly demanded a three-year contract if he is to join Barcelona.
With just six months remaining on his deal at the Emirates Stadium, several clubs have been credited with an interest in Ozil but it appears that Barca and Manchester United are top of the playmaker’s options.
United are allegedly keen to sign Ozil during the January window but the 29-year-old will move to Camp Nou if two conditions are met by the La Liga side.
While Ozil is keen for a three-year contract, the German international also wants to receive wages of $67.5 million over his stay at the club.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has previously suggested that he is confident of Ozil penning fresh terms at the Premier League outfit.
