The first Women’s National Classic Wrestling Games will be held at the Azadi Sports Complex in Tehran, December 15.
Women wrestlers from 25 provinces will attend the games, which is the first official competition of its series. Winners will shape the first national women’s wrestling team, Varzesh3.com reported.
World champion Anna Vasilenko from Ukraine will be the technical supervisor of the games. Eight foreign referees will be among the jury. Entry for the games is free and only for women.
The first World Championship of Women’s Classic Wrestling is slated for next year for which the date has not been announced.
