Canoe Polo Teams Win Gold, Silver in Malaysia

Iranian men’s team grabbed the gold medal of the 18th Asian Canoe Polo Championships in Malaysia, November 8-12.

Iran canoe polo team lined up against Japan in the final match. First half of the game ended with each team gaining three points. But in the second half Iranians showed a better performance and wrapped up the game 6-5 to conquer the first place, Varzesh3.com reported.

In the category of U-21 men’s team, Iran’s canoe polo team came in second. Women’s and U-21 women’s teams from Iran were both in second place at the games earlier.

Thirty teams from eight countries, namely China, Japan, Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Australia, Taiwan, Iran and the host country, Malaysia, were present.  The 18th edition of the games was held in Taman Botani Johor Botanical Garden in Batu Pahat town, Malaysia.
