Omid Ahmadi-Safa from Iran won a silver medal at the WAKO World Kickboxing Championships in Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday.
The Iranian lost to his Russian opponent in Low Kick -51 kg category of the tournament, November 6-11, held by the World Association of Kickboxing Organizations, Tasnim News Agency reported.
WAKO originated in Europe in 1976 and formulated the rules and regulations for the new fighting sport, in fact acting as the kickboxing federations of the world.
