The Football Federation Islamic Republic of Iran (FFIRI) can benefit from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) president’s initiatives, specifically for its live streaming division.

According to the-afc.com, every year at least 5,000 football matches are played across Iran from the top division football league to the different age-group tournaments, for men and women.

It means that there is huge potential for the matches to be live streamed online and viewed by the masses, which would help promote the game in and outside Iran.

A workshop and seminar was recently held for FFIRI officials and media representatives of the Iran Pro League, where they were trained in using the system and procedures.

An online streaming channel on mycujoo.tv has been created for the FFIRI to assist it in streaming the games, which can help generate revenues for the national federation as well as the teams.

Before officially launching the streaming service, the FFIRI will conduct stadium surveys and revert to the AFC.

AFC President Salman bin Ibrahim Al-Khalifa’s initiatives include projects coordinated between different departments in the AFC administration. The programs include Infrastructure Initiative and Development Initiative.

The Infrastructure Initiative will have two components: mini-pitches and other infrastructure projects, while the Development Initiative will replace the league development program, expert pool, competition fund, live streaming platform and competition management system.

In addition, the Development Initiative programme will include core development goals which will address key areas such as financial management, legal issues, human resource management, media and communications and commercial matters.
