Iran Can Host Beach Soccer World Cup

FIFA board member and vice president of beach soccer worldwide, Joan Cusco, says Iran has a stable infrastructure to host the world cup.

The Spaniard was in Dubai to attend the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup. “Iran has been one of the best teams in the world over the past several years. The Iranian team is physically strong and takes advantage of highly skilled players as well,” Cusco told Tasnim News Agency. “Iran has a well-organized plan in beach soccer. The country has two professional men’s and women’s league. The national teams are supported by the domestic league. Iran’s league is undoubtedly one of the best in the world,” he added.

When asked if Iran can host the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, Cusco said, “Why not. Iran has already played host to an international tournament and can host more events even the intercontinental and world cups as well.”
