Iranian young para powerlifting squad will attend the Asian Youth Para Games in Dubai, the UAE, on Dec. 10-14.
Ten youth powerlifters from Iran are chosen to be in the games and their training games will begin 15 days before the Asian competitions, Varzesh3.com reported.
Speaking about the adults team, Ali Asghar Ravasi, chief of Iran Para Powerlifting Federation, said due to the earthquake in Mexico, World Para Powerlifting Championships in Mexico City was postponed and will take place between Nov. 27 and Dec. 7.
Iran national team, consisting of 14 powerlifters, are currently undergoing training.
As Ravasi said, the team is not in a good state, but all the members will prepare hard for the matches in Mexico.
